Upon stumbling across these porcelain containers by Lei Xue (2007), I was struck first by the originality in the combination of traditional Chinese imagery with contemporary pop can containers. The unspoken comments he has presented on our consumerist ways, on the permanence of our fleeting actions is of certainly high importance presently. On a purely aesthetic level, the precision in the detail of the designs is great.
