Vivian Maier is the photographer I mentioned in my last post. I watched a segment about her on 60 minutes, and it was really cool to hear about her story. She was a street photographer in New York and Chicago and not a lot of people knew about her until recently. A man who was looking through old rolls of film for some job he had to do, and came across all of Maier's film at an auction. He decided to buy all of them for a small price of $200, and was shocked to find out who this photographer really was. Ever since then he has been archiving all of her photos and the original prints sell for thousands of dollars. They are all posted in portfolio's on the website: http://www.vivianmaier.com. Check it out and watch the small video, it's a really cool story.
