Rapunzel by Christina Bothwell

Made by Christina Bothwell This piece of art made of glass/clay is known as Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let Down Your Hair. It’s interesting how the artist expresses a sense of emotion, perhaps frustration or fear, in a way that Rapunzel’s body is twisted inward and how she grabs her hairs as if something is pulling her forcibly. Many of Bothwell’s artworks include both glass and clay which makes her art unique and novel. In this piece of art, I like the richness and the details of the hairs. The use of bright colors and exquisiteness may contrast the bulky pale body, which makes the piece more fascinating.
